We’re seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales function permanently. Our sales team currently consists of 7 people plus a Team Leader, handling incoming sales across phone lines, live chat, and email. This is a strategic role, ideal for someone who can not only lead and inspire the team day-to-day, but also analyse data, shape performance, and drive commercial growth in line with our ambitious business objectives..
What you will be doing:
- Take full responsibility for the sales team’s performance across all key KPIs.
- Analyse sales data, spot opportunities, and refine strategy to hit and exceed targets.
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable through a structured performance management system.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff to improve skills, confidence, and results.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer service to deliver joined-up campaigns.
- Own the sales forecast and pipeline management, providing accurate and timely updates.
- Report directly to senior management with insights, risks, and recommendations.
- Identify and implement process improvements, tools, and best practices to strengthen the sales function.
- Represent the sales team at management meetings, contributing to business strategy and planning.
What we're looking for:
- Strong track record of leading a sales team and delivering measurable results.
- Comfortable with sales strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Confident in holding people accountable, while also developing and motivating staff.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of online retail/e-commerce dynamics.
- High emotional intelligence; resilient and adaptable under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adjust quickly.
- Hands-on leadership style, able to get into the details when needed without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools is desirable.
