We’re almost 15 years old, and in that time, we’ve accelerated from zero to £50m/year revenue, won local and national awards, and grown to 150-plus people. Our three websites - Drench, Tap Warehouse and Only Radiators - are growing from strength to strength, and we’re looking for a Local Trade Account Manager to help us continue our growth journey.
Our Outlet serves both trade and retail customers, making this a blended role that combines proactive trade account management, new business development, store sales, and customer service support.
You will be responsible for building strong relationships with local trade professionals while also supporting the day-to-day running of the Outlet. This includes serving walk-in trade & retail customers, providing product advice, generating quotes, processing orders and resolving customer enquiries.
This role requires someone who is confident in managing their own pipeline, comfortable working in a customer-facing showroom environment, and motivated to drive consistent monthly revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Growth & Account Management
- Drive trade sales growth across the BCP area
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, plumbers, installers and property developers
- Actively seek out and onboard new local trade customers
- Become the primary point of contact for trade product sourcing and project support
- Deliver a high level of service to secure repeat and long-term business
Retail Sales & Customer Service Support
- Support retail customers visiting the Outlet with product advice and quotations
- Process trade and retail orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle in-store customer service enquiries, including order queries and issue resolution
- Ensure all customers receive a professional and consistent experience
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Support wider Trade and Outlet initiatives
- Contribute to overall Outlet performance and customer satisfaction
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Achieve combined monthly sales targets of £60k–£80k
- Manage your own sales pipeline from enquiry through to fulfilment
- Provide accurate, timely and commercially sound quotations
- Identify opportunities to maximise orders
- Track and follow up on leads to ensure opportunities are converted
Showroom & Store Operations:
- Maintain a visible and proactive presence on the store floor
- Support opening and closing procedures in line with store standards
- Complete end-of-day processes, including cashing up and stock security
- Maintain high standards of presentation within the showroom
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience within KBB, plumbing, heating or related sectors - Essential
- Experience selling to trade customers
- Experience working within a retail or showroom environment is preferred
- Proven ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline
- Strong understanding of sales processes and customer journey
- Commercially minded and target-driven
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
- Adaptable within a fast-paced retail and trade environment
